Senior Lead Engineer, Systems

The Job

We are looking for a technically skilled candidate to support technology-enabled business operations to drive increased agility, scalability, fault tolerance and improve service quality. You will manage and ensure optimal performance of the hybrid infrastructure supporting the media publishing systems and to achieve extensive business value, by migrating and modernizing technology landscapes to AWS Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a cross-functional team to manage and support the media publishing systems and operations

• Develop and implement process solutions to improve operational efficiency

• Proactively monitor the performance of the cloud and on-premise resources, supporting the media publishing systems

• Manage costs of cloud infrastructure to ensure no wastage and takes full advantage of cost saving mechanisms.

• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures

• Employ exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or related fields

• Team Player who is self-driven and proactive in learning new technologies and skills

• Excellent problem-solving ability

• Good written and verbal communication

• Experience in supporting Linux, window servers as well as AWS cloud services

• Experience in shell scripting, with knowledge of Oracle, MySQL databases

• Knowledge of Web services, API, REST

• Familiarity with Adobe InDesign is a plus

• Able to work after office hours to support deployment and operation, if required
