What the role is:This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer in the School of Design & Environment.What you will be working on:Academic dutiesDevelop and improve the content of modules you are assigned to teach and deliverBe competent to conduct teaching and delivery of modules in classroom and online settingSet and conduct assessments for the modules you are assignedLead in the integration of modules content, teaching and delivery to achieve the course objectivesInitiate and experiment with new pedagogies or learning technologies to enhance curriculum deliveryNon Academic dutiesAdministrative and other duties to support the management of the school, diploma and modulesDuties and responsibilities that may arises to support curriculum development and currencySolve operational problems to ensure efficiency and effectivenessSupervise junior team members to ensure smooth operations has context menuWhat we are looking for:At least 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in the areas of Project and Facilities Management as well as Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical EngineeringApplicants must have strong communication skills and have an inherent passion to teach students in both physical classrooms and online learning environment.Candidate should be competent to plan, develop and teach at least three of the following areas:Building Services EngineeringElectrical FacilitiesFacilities ManagementFire Safety ManagementProject ManagementMechanical FacilitiesBesides teaching full time diploma students, the lecturer may also be required to teach some modules in Part-Time Diploma/short courses to learners who are working adults and conducted in the evenings from 6pm - 10pm.About Ngee Ann Polytechnic:At Ngee Ann Polytechnic, our nine academic schools offer over 40 full-time diplomas to a growing student population of more than 15,000.
