What the role is:
This teaching role is in the School of Business.
What you will be working on:
As part of the role, the successful candidate is expected to fulfil the following responsibilities: - Facilitate impactful learning experiences for full-time diploma students and part-time adult learners through engaging and learner-centred teaching approaches. - Mentor and coach students in applied projects that promote the development of practical, industry-relevant competencies. - Design, review, and enhance curriculum and course materials to reflect both pedagogical best practices and evolving professional standards. - Develop and deliver customised workshops for adult learners, applying principles of andragogy to meet diverse learner needs. - Collaborate with industry partners to incorporate current trends, tools, and practices into teaching and learning. - Contribute to consultancy or applied research projects that translate industry experience into meaningful educational insights. - Actively support school-wide strategic initiatives through participation in committees, student engagement activities, events, and competitions. - Drive program innovation and quality enhancement through leadership in curriculum development and subject-level improvements. - Lead or contribute meaningfully to education-focused committees or project teams that champion teaching excellence and innovation.
What we are looking for:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, Law, or a closely related discipline. Specialisation in Singapore Taxation is required. Candidates with teaching or industry experience in a second business field (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Business Law) are highly encouraged to apply. - In-depth knowledge of Singapore tax legislation, regulatory frameworks, and current practices, with the ability to contextualise these within business applications. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. - Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic educational environment. - A strong passion for talent development and engaging with youth and adult learners, with a proven track record of mentoring individuals and leading teams effectively. - Expertise in teaching Taxation and at least one of the following areas: 1. Fundamentals of Accounting or Finance 2. Business Law 3. Business Economics 4. Business Statistics 5. Marketing Principles 6. Business Psychology and Management
