Senior Linux and Automation Lead THE OPPORTUNITY

WHAT YOU WILL DO Infrastructure Automation specialist combines system, automation engineering and system operations, to build and operate run large-scale, compliant, and fault-tolerant systems. Much of our automation development focuses on optimizing existing processes, building infrastructure, and eliminating manual work through automation. On the Linux Infrastructure Operations team, you’ll have the opportunity to manage the complex projects related to Infrastructure, Self-service, while using your expertise in system administration or engineering, automation, complexity analysis and large-scale system design.

• Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Lead technical projects with minimal supervision.
• Technical lead for projects focused on small operational engineering and operation related work.
• Contribute to product-oriented squad teams.
• Collaborate with colleagues across various business areas and divisions.
• Enable automation and orchestration of repetitive tasks and processes.
• Directly manage 3rd party service provider.
• SME for specific assigned area (ie. Automation or Security)
• Collaborate with stakeholders over Server, Storage and DB infrastructure.
• Lead discussions with Security and Compliance teams.
• Act as technical lead within Linux/Unix Operations area
• Working with global teams with different culture backgrounds.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE To be successful in this role, you will have:

• MSc Degree or BSc Degree or equivalent relevant experience in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in managing LINUX servers and automation projects
• Relevant IT Systems Administration or Automation experience in Server related Infrastructure.
• Sound knowledge of Ansible Tower or other infrastructure automation tools.
• Firm understanding of scripting languages as Shell Scripting, Python, be able to read and write scripts.
• Proven experience with administrating Red Hat Enterprise Linux, understanding Unix platforms is plus.
• Experience in Managing large, virtualized (VMWare), cloud hosted (AWS) and physical server environments.
• General overview AWS products, Red Hat and HPE Hardware
• Experience with Agile/Scrum framework.
• ITIL certification, ServiceNow and JIRA experience is an advantage.
• Ability to effectively communicate, counsel and collaborate with others.
• Good negotiation and presentation skills.
