Purpose:
Perform maintenance and inspection of process equipment using CMMS to assure its availability for the uninterrupted operation of the manufacturing plant. Troubleshoot process equipment failures/ malfunction and carryout remediation/corrective measures safely in compliance to GMP/Quality procedures. Assist in the development of work procedures, instructions, and risk assessments. Implement equipment reliability improvement to avoid unplanned outage.
Major Responsibilities

• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for stationary and rotating equipment to assure uninterrupted operation of the plant.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures/malfunction and carryout remediation/corrective measures.
• Ensures all the maintenance works are carried out safely in compliance with AbbVie/ statutory safety regulations.
• Provide on call support for equipment problems (24/7) to minimize the downtime of the equipment.
• Manage equipment maintenance work using Computerized Maintenance Management system (CMMS).
• Perform work in compliance with relevant SOPs (Standard operating procedure), cGMP standards.
• Certified as confined space accessor/supervisor/rescuer, WAH supervisor, Gas tester, etc. to perform all type of maintenance work. Good knowledge on LOTO to lead the team to review all the LOTO requirements for routine and shutdown maintenance work.
• Perform the predictive maintenance using vibration handheld analyzer and do basic analysis to troubleshoot the machinery problem. Have a good knowledge on the vibration monitoring.
• Coordinates with external contractors for specialized repair/maintenance work viz., vessel inspection, repairs, major overhauls, etc.,
• Troubleshooting recurring equipment reliability problems using maintenance history.
• Carry out detailed RCFA for major equipment problems or recurring issues together with reliability engineer to implement improvements.
• Work with reliability engineer to move towards RCM for all critical process equipment.
• Compile work instruction, Job aids, Risk assessment and assist Maintenance engineer for developing SOPs for maintenance work.
• Coach the less experienced staff to carry out basic trouble shooting, system change over maintenance, support equipment validation and Equipment reliability improvement.
• Assist in developing work instructions/procedures and Risk assessment.
• Assist maintenance engineer/Planner for planning and scheduling the maintenance work.
• Assist in troubleshooting recurring equipment reliability problems using maintenance history and work with Reliability engineer to implement improvements.
• Acting as maintenance engineer/Planner in their absence for planning and scheduling the maintenance work.

Qualifications

• NITEC/ITE/ Vocational certificate/Diploma in relevant discipline (mechanical / electrical / chemical) with

10 years with "hands-on" work experience. * Experience in pharmaceutical / biotech /Chemical/ Oil& Gas facilities.

• Knowledge of cGMP is a plus.
• Excellent attitude towards work and Willingness to learn.
• Experience on working with CMMS and MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Strong troubleshooting skill in functional area and analytical skills.
• Excellent team player willing to work for the common goal.
• Able to work independently.
• Mentor/Coach less experience staffs on technical skills and Best maintenance practices.
• Lead the front line technicians and contract resources during major overhauls/maintenance to assure no rework.
