Job Description

As a Senior Major & Complex Loss Adjuster, you'll be at the forefront of major and complex losses. You will work with internal and external specialists, so excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate various parties, strategic thinking, and expert negotiation is essential.

Most of our adjusters adopt a mix of home and office-based working throughout the week which helps support a healthy work/life balance, and you will have dedicated office-based technical and managerial support.

Key responsibilities:

Working as part of a team managing insurance claims primarily for reinsurance and regional insurance clients Undertakes site visits, inspecting damage/ loss where necessary, locally and overseas Negotiates claims settlements in line with client contracts Responds to insureds, carriers & brokers in a timely manner within Sedgwick KPI Contribute to maintenance of best practice procedures for Major and Complex claims, consistent with Sedgwick's quality standards and best practice To drive SLAs and KPIs and achieve key target performance Develop and build client relationships, partnerships, associations and alliances to further profitable growth of /Sedgwick's regional business Be part of Sedgwick's Catastrophe "first response" team Active mentor to junior adjusters Ensure technical accuracy of the highest standard and produce reports of highest quality

Requirements:

Insurance or other technical qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience within adjusting role including managing major losses Thorough knowledge of major/ complex commercial property or casualty, including time element losses or equivalent other professional depth * Ability to handle losses in excess of US$500k exposure or otherwise complex losses
