Description of Division: The Children in Care Service (CIC) oversees the provision of out-of-home care options, such as foster care, kinship care or residential care, to vulnerable children. CIC works closely with various partners to provide a continuum of out-of-home care options, and to grow and develop essential capabilities and services to strengthen the care sector for these children and help them to grow up to become contributing members of society.What you will be working on:Brief description of Job Scope: You will play a key role in developing the Foster Care Sector. You will be working with the Social Service Agencies appointed as Fostering Agencies (FAs) and both internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and best practices to safeguard the safety and well-being of foster children (FCs) and support foster parents (FPs). You will drive and coordinate two key strategic areas, namely the fostering operational policies and sector and capability development for impactful implementation. Responsibilities: As part of the Fostering Service within CIC, you will: xe2x80xa2 Develop and refine models of care o Develop fostering-related systems, operational policies and fostering sector wide programme and plans. xe2x80xa2 Plan sector-wide initiatives o Organise peer support networks o Review and improve resources to be shared with the sector, research and evaluate services and programmes xe2x80xa2 Oversee a team of officers to provide service planning and capability building to the FAs, to: o Oversee capability building for foster parents through the implementation of the competency framework for foster parents and training o Oversee capability building for the foster case workers (FCWs) through the implementation of the competency framework for FCWs o Service planning o Work with internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes to improve support to FPs and FCs in foster care This role offers a breadth of exposure to ops-policy, service planning, and stakeholder engagement.What we are looking for:Requirement: xe2x80xa2 Tertiary qualifications.
