Short Description

The Central Procurement Office (CPO) with oversight of General Goods and Services (GGS) and Building and Construction Goods and Services (BCGS) purchases provides expertise and shared procurement services while ensuring transparency and accountability in the procurement process.



The position is responsible for end-to-end procurement compliance and execution (including Strategic Sourcing) for consumables categories.

• Review procurement documents such as requirement specifications, evaluation criteria, scoring guide, supplier\'s proposals, recommendation reports etc
• Prepare and execute Sourcing Events
• Lead the Tender Evaluation process
• Single point of contact for external suppliers and internal resources
• Manage consumables contracts lifecycle including renewal
• Manage consumables suppliers including negotiation for better value or cost savings
• Advisory on procurement policy and procedures to users
• Perform procurement planning for assigned departments
• Manage catalogue in Ariba including liaise with suppliers on punch-out catalogue
• Any ad-hoc duties as may be assigned

Qualifications

• A recognized university degree with minimum 7 years working experience in procurement
• Possess understanding of procurement processes like quotations or tenders
• Possess strong collaborative and negotiation skills
• Proficient in desktop applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
• Good command of English (both written and spoken)
• A good team player
• Experience with SAP Ariba would be an advantage
