JOB DESCRIPTION

The candidate will have opportunities to work on exciting projects/deals in the fast-growing data centre industry, seeing through the entire project life cycle from inception to execution. He/she will be part of a team that works closely together to identify, source, negotiate and execute business opportunities in both new and existing markets.

As part of Keppel Groups drive towards advancing sustainable development, the candidate will also have opportunities to be involved in the development and implementation of sustainable solutions in the data centre space.

This role will report to the Head of Business & Programme Development and is based in Singapore.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

:

• Actively contribute and participate in driving/co-driving key strategic initiatives and in developing business or investment cases (including but not limited to new market entry, partnerships, decarbonisation/renewables etc)
• Provide overall support for an innovative and sustainable data centre campus development in Singapore
• Drive sustainability efforts to decarbonize new and existing data centres, including working with renewable energy and low carbon energy providers
• Work on data centre development projects in Singapore and overseas
• Support end-to-end investment process, including origination, deal evaluation, commercial viability, financial analysis and modelling, negotiations, due diligence, and execution
• Conduct market research / scanning and be up to date with industry developments in key identified markets
• Prepare briefing papers and presentations materials for management, potential partners and customers
• Support ad-hoc initiatives as required

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, Corporate Finance, Real Estate, Environmental Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 to 10 years relevant working experience in corporate development, real estate, infrastructure, investment banking, renewables, or M&A. Experience in Data Centres or green industry is a plus.
• Strong financial modelling capability; able to conduct financial, commercial and risk analyses of companies and business opportunities.
• Good business acumen to be able to negotiate and structure deals. Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, driving and executing initiatives under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Good communication and writing skills. Competent in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Enthusiastic learner who is self-motivated and proactive, effective team player
• Willing to travel as required
