In the role of Senior Manager, Coffee & Beverage Innovation, Tim Hortons, International, you will be part of the International (EMEA, APAC & LAC) marketing team. In this role, based our at our Regional Headquarters in Singapore, you will be responsible for driving excellence in Coffee & Beverage initiatives to deliver on customer preference, through insights-driven innovations and product optimization.

As the product innovation senior manager, you will be a valued member of a highly productive, engaging and supportive team. You will support strategies and execute against them to achieve financial and business objectives to build extraordinary brands and deliver the company\xe2\x80\x99s annual operating plan, all the while leading to higher sales and profitability for our franchisees.

This position reports to the Innovation Director, TH International and works closely with other members of the marketing team as well as other internal stakeholders in key functions such as Design, Guest Insights, Operations, Supply Chain & Quality Insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development of new products and product-related marketing opportunities, from concept to commercialization.
  • Applies consumer insights and understanding of marketplace dynamics to develop compelling brand and category direction & positioning.
  • Supports creation of the innovation roadmap that delivers against objectives and strategies.
  • Actively searching out opportunities for continuous improvement & develop coffee product optimization \xe2\x80\x93 evolve existing products through reformulation, format development, delivery systems
  • Manages cross-functional project teams and timelines to deliver strategic recommendations and new products and platforms.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations for category strategy reflecting competitive and consumer trends and market needs (including cost, pricing, quality or consumer acceptance)
  • Support in coffee training for international: share learnings and expertise across international teams and functions with the ability to train others on what makes great coffee, details of sensory, and how to do basic barista skills.
  • Monitor new product introductions from competitors locally and in other markets to contribute to the ideation of innovation opportunities and maintain a solid new product pipeline.
  • Participate in the development of the annual innovation plan through rigorous analysis of market performance and the development of key insights and recommendations for the business.
Key requirements:
  • Technical coffee knowledge \xe2\x80\x93 beans, roasting, brewing, delivery systems (equipment).
  • Professional Coffee & Sensory qualifications, and deep understanding of what makes quality coffee.
  • Proven experience of delivering coffee solutions against a brief, overcoming technical challenges.
  • Connected with international coffee / beverage trends and industry best practice.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence without authority and relate to Franchises, team members, external vendors, agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills \xe2\x80\x93 ability to influence senior teams and bring coffee to life in an accessible and compelling way.
  • Manage and successfully deliver projects within scope
  • Ability to work across a global landscape with varying hours and travel to global markets.
  • Resilient and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment working on multiple and competing projects simultaneously, with a sense of urgency and thoughtfulness.
Qualifications
  • You have a University degree - preferably with a marketing focus / Food Science / Food Engineering / Nutrition.
  • 6+ years of experience in a role supporting the development of new or existing products or strategies from conception to implementation.
  • You are a coffee & beverage Lover: creating recipes, and drinking coffee are among your life passions.
  • You are experienced in coffee, beverage, or consumer packaged goods.
  • Strong marketing understanding & knowledge from Insights through Brand Strategy.
  • Proficiency in analytics and creative problem-solving skills
  • Commercial mindset to drive sales, grow the business and continuously improve franchisee profitability.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills with the ability to convey key messages compellingly.
  • Fluent business English, conversational Mandarin will be considered an advantage.
