THERE IS A PLACE FOR YOU HERE!Be part of our diverse and inclusive team.Job Responsibilities xe2x80xa2 An active promotor of the companyxe2x80x99s safety management system and initiatives related to construction delivery and equipment installation. xe2x80xa2 Provide technical / regulatory guidance to the staff and project management team and site trade contractors, on construction safety, industrial best practices and regulatory development matters. xe2x80xa2 Support, prepare and update all necessary Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) plans/reports as required by local statutory bodies xe2x80xa2 Support in developing and implementing construction specific procedures and monitor safety and environmental programs in compliance with employer and statutory requirements. xe2x80xa2 Ensure that trade contractors plans, procedures, orientation, and induction material is compliant with employer and statutory requirements. xe2x80xa2 Review trade contractorxe2x80x99s method statements and materials submissions and ensure relevant compliance. xe2x80xa2 Ensure and audit trade contractors/workers to ensure valid Permits to Work are in operation and in compliance with approved method statements and statutory requirements. xe2x80xa2 Support project management team and ensure approved sequencing and safe integration of building services/building works are executed to the approved HSE policies and plans within live operational environments. xe2x80xa2 Define and track HSE performance indicators and report on performance to the senior safety manager and other relevant parties. xe2x80xa2 Ensure and monitor accident prevention programmes being implemented by the trade contractors. xe2x80xa2 Support in implementing management system criteria into the construction project. xe2x80xa2 Ensure and monitor trade contractors implement effective environmental control measures (dust, noise, garbage and smoke control) during implementation of the works at all times (in particular within live operations). xe2x80xa2 Perform compliance audits and inspections to ensure compliance with employer and statutory requirements. xe2x80xa2 Respond to emergencies, investigate incidents, and recommend corrective actions. xe2x80xa2 Prepare, review and submit all reports, inspections, accident investigation and job hazard analysis/risk assessments of all trade contractors works. xe2x80xa2 Carry out other HSE related assignments that may be assigned by the senior Safety manager from time to time. xe2x80xa2 Attend trade package contractor safety committee meetings. xe2x80xa2 Attend employer project control group meetings and represent all matter relating to HSE, as necessary. xe2x80xa2 Attend other trade contractor ad-hoc meetings, as necessary. xe2x80xa2 Encourage, lead and support safety and environmental initiatives by the employer and trade contractors. xe2x80xa2 Encourage, lead and support safety and environmental awards schemes initiated by the employer and trade contractors. xe2x80xa2 Proactive in instilling good safety, culture, mindset and practices. xe2x80xa2 Interpret and analyze HSE trends and provide regular updates and reports. xe2x80xa2 Conduct HSE related training to staff and project management team and site trade contractors, as necessary.Job Requirements Education & Certification xe2x80xa2 A Specialist Diploma in Workplace, Safety and Health is required xe2x80xa2 Candidate must be a registered Workplace, Safety & Health Officer and Environmental Control Officer xe2x80xa2 Preference will be given to candidate who possess lead inspector / auditor certification with experience in management of Health, Safety and Environmental audit programs Experience xe2x80xa2 Minimum 5-7 years of experience working in various Health, Safety and Environmental related construction roles on project site Other Prerequisites xe2x80xa2 A good understanding of all local safety & health regulations is a must. xe2x80xa2 Comprehensive knowledge of hazard identification xe2x80xa2 Excellent verbal and written communication skillsMarina Bay Sands is committed to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce, providing equal opportunities as we grow our talent base to match our growth ambitions in Singapore.
