Time Type: Full TimePurpose of the PositionThe regional credit & risk manager will be responsible for the management and coordination of all credit control activities for DSV APAC, to ensure that customers pay within the agreed payment terms and coordinate with LSSC to follow group credit policy, support credit & risk management process optimization. Duties will include monthly reporting, management of aged debt and KPI reports, as well as regular collaboration with Senior Management and other departments in regard to all Credit Control matters.Detailed Responsibilities:Collection activities

  • Challenge the existing procedures and practices and implement improvements in all areas including cash collection, cash allocation and management of customer queries.
  • Maintain and improve documentation of procedures and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and best practice.
  • Improve efficiency in cash collection activities and reduce bad debt exposure.
Credit management
  • Coordinate with group credit and LSSC to make sure all process are adhere to DSV group credit policy
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential customers
  • Management and reporting of credit risk including control of credit limit/credit insurance review process
  • Commercial appraisal of credit risk in growth territories and new relationships of regional and global accounts
  • Review and approval of credit trading terms on regional and global accounts
  • Review credit insurance cover - ensure compliance with group insurance policy
  • Act as point of contact for all matters relating to collections and credit management
  • Monthly/Quarterly/Annual performance and KPI report.
Team Management
  • Be responsible for developing the capability and structure of the team to meet the ongoing objectives of the business
  • Conduct regular team appraisals, setting individual and team objectives in line with overall department and business targets and objectives, providing support as necessary to team members in the achievement of these objectives and ensuring that development plans are instigated and progressed as required
  • Review and track team KPI\'s
  • Provide training for new starters and perform inductions where necessary
Communications
  • Internal - Local Management, Regional Shared Service Center - Finance, International Shared Service Center, Group Finance team, IT, etc.
  • External - Customer, External Consultants, Service Providers, etc.
