The Energy & Renewables (E&R) Division in EDB is responsible for the industry development of the Energy & Chemicals sector. This includes developing and implementing strategies and initiatives to support the growth and transformation of the Energy and Chemicals industry in Singapore. The division works with key companies in the sector to operate sustainability, increase their output of sustainable products as well as to improve the supply chain resilience for the Energy sector.The division is also responsible for coordinating EDB\'s emergency preparedness response to various emergency situations such as Energy Supply Crisis and/or future pandemics.What you will be working on:You will work closely with colleagues in EDB (e.g. Industry Groups, Industry Manpower Division), key industry partners and officers from other government agencies. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Understanding the energy industry, its supply chain and potential disruptions.Develop policies and initiatives to drive industry development initiatives and improve energy supply chain resilience.Perform as Peer leader to guide junior officers in developing the energy supply & distribution operational plans and pandemic preparedness plans.Liaising with other government agencies and key industry partners in the industry development and to improve the energy supply chain resilience.Supporting the management of additional resources appointed by EDB to audit and inspect EDB managed worksites.To meet the challenges of the role, you will have to:Have substantial knowledge on global and regional developments in decarbonising E&C sector, production of sustainable E&C products and disruptions to energy supply. Basic knowledge of pandemic-related policies that companies are required to comply with is preferred.Understand the operations of inter-agency taskforces, establishing connections with key contacts across agencies for energy security and pandemic related issues.Possess knowledge of how E&C industries work.Be well-versed in the roles of various government agencies, trade associations and companies involved in E&C issues, energy supply and pandemic-related issues.Demonstrate adaptability to address to diverse work requirements, often with short timeframes, and effectively communicate instructions or changes to officers and/or counterparts in agencies.Be able to be rostered to work during weekends during emergencies.What we are looking for:At least 6-8 years of relevant industry experience in coordinating large-scale projects across multiple stakeholders, including government agenciesSupply Chain Management and Strategy experiences are preferredExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spokenStrong organisational and data management skillsSelf-motivated and positive attitude, excellent work ethic and a team playerSingaporeanAbout Economic Development Board:EDB is the lead government agency responsible for planning & executing strategies to enhance Singapore\'s position as a global business centre and grow the Singapore Economy.
