Purpose
As a key member of the Group IT Architecture Team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-wide IT infrastructure solutions. This includes hardware, software, networking, and cloud environments that support business objectives and digital transformation initiatives. The role ensures alignment with architectural standards, governance policies, and emerging technology trends to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure platforms.
This role reports to :
Assistant Vice President (Group IT), Technology Architecture & Infrastructure Governance
Project Manager (for assigned application projects)
Define and maintain infrastructure architecture standards for enterprise projects.
Conduct detailed analysis of infrastructure design and security standards
Lead the design and execution of complex infrastructure initiatives such as data center modernization, cloud migration, and hybrid/multi-cloud deployments.
Develop and communicate a long-term infrastructure roadmap aligned with business growth and digital transformation strategies.
Architect solutions involving SDN, SD-WAN, edge computing, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
Define and enforce infrastructure standards, best practices, and governance policies to ensure consistency, security, and compliance for IT infrastructure and OT infrastructure
Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies including AI/ML infrastructure, serverless computing, and edge platforms.
Collaborate with Solution Architects, Project Managers, and Product Managers to ensure cohesive solution delivery.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation and business cases for infrastructure initiatives.
Professional Background
Minimum 10 years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on infrastructure architecture and governance.
At least 5 years in a principal infrastructure engineering role across networking, data center, and cloud domains.
Deep understanding of infrastructure architecture, network topology, virtualization, cloud-native infrastructure, and modern security principles
Experience in driving IT architecture directives and governance of standards
Experience in working with cross-functional teams
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Technical Skills
Cloud Platforms: Azure (including App Services, Private Endpoints, Log Analytics), AWS, GCP.
Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix
Middleware: Weblogic-MQ, Apache Kafka, WSO2 API Manager, Solace
Networking: TCP/IP, VPNs, SD-WAN, cloud networking (VPCs, VPNs, ExpressRoute, load balancers, firewalls), Network devices (core switch, distribution switch, access switch)
Infrastructure-as-Code & Automation: CI/CD pipelines with DevOps agents, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, SolarWinds.
Containers & Orchestration: Azure App Services, Docker, Kubernetes.
Monitoring & Security Tools: Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Web Application Firewall (WAF), DDoS protection, IAM protocols.
Operating Systems: Windows Server, VMware; Linux (RHEL), Unix (Solaris).
Experience with Azure and OT infrastructure is a plus.
