Duties & Responsibilities

Fleet Management

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fleet management strategies and policies to ensure the smooth and cost effective operation of our vehicle fleet
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of company vehicles, ensuring they are safe, roadworthy and compliant with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Manage the acquisition and disposal of vehicles, including negotiating with suppliers, evaluating proposals, and ensuring optimal fleet size and composition
  • Monitor and analyze fleet performance metrics, such as fuel consumption, maintenance costs, vehicle utilization and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in fleet and inventory management and proactively identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency, eg.sustainability and carbon emission reduction initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, such as licensing, permits, and safety standards, for both fleet and inventory management
Inventory Management
  • Develop and implement uniform inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs and ensure timely availability of stocks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as operations and procurement, to plan inventory needs, procurement activities and minimize stockouts and excess inventory
  • Utilize inventory management systems and software to track inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and identify opportunities for process improvement
Others
  • Lead and manage a team of staff, oversee their work, provide guidance and training, conduct performance evaluations and foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Support transformation projects and perform secretariat duties for meetings as and when called for
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience in fleet management and inventory management, with minimum 8 years In-depth knowledge of fleet management best practices, vehicle maintenance, procurement, compliance. demand forecasting, inventory control and order fulfillment
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of minimum 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role, effectively managing teams and driving performance
  • Proficiency in using fleet management software and inventory management systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make strategic decisions
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at various levels
