Job Category: Underwriting : What you will do: Business Development & Engagement
Identify and develop potential business opportunities through partners' networks and existing portfolios o Participate in industry events and conferences to gather market insights and creative trends
Consult with mid and senior management to develop new services and products for distribution channels o Leverage market and competitor insights to define unique selling propositions and differentiators
Collaborate with partners and underwriters to drive new business opportunities and achieve targeted retention ratios
Conduct joint fieldwork with partners, with or without underwriters, to secure a profitable business portfolio and mix
Sales Management
Maintain disciplined sales management through planned business reviews and goal setting for segmented partners
Track and measure production trends daily to ensure a strong pipeline and meet sales targets.
Achieve sales targets for both new business and renewals.
Recruitment & Activation
Leverage industry networks to recruit new partners and achieve recruitment targets to meet production goals
Identify, activate, and support distribution partners to enhance productivity and meet recruitment objectives
Training & Development
Enhance partner training to ensure professional representation of the business.
Support partners' career development through business expansion, progression, and continuity planning
Incentive & Campaign Management
Initiate and execute sales activities to generate new and renewal business through cross-selling, upselling, and portfolio analysis
Plan and support campaigns and events to achieve sales and campaign objectives
Motivate and guide partners to achieve incentives and business goals, such as higher-tier status, bonuses, and trips
Undertake additional responsibilities or ad-hoc tasks as required to support business objectives and team success
Qualifications: What you will need:
Minimum Diploma or Degree in any field
Minimum 3 years of related experience, preferably in business development within the insurance industry o Experience in direct sales and knowledge in non-Life insurance is an advantage
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines, priorities, and change
Strong client management, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
Excellent multitasking, project management, and business acumen
Collaborative, reliable, resilient, and demonstrates integrity
Proactive, self-starter with a strategic and creative approach
Assertive, sales-driven, and able to work under pressure
