You will be part of the OBS Marine & Logistics Operations team, providing integrated support in logistics and marine operations for the smooth running of all OBS programmes across all OBS campuses and areas of operations.
Lead the Logistics Operations team at OBS to provide integrated operations support towards a technologically inclined and customer-service-driven future.
Logistics management and systems, ensuring smooth administrative and managerial functions covering supply-chain management, sustainability, and excellent deliveries to support OBS courses and programmes.
Includes ensuring operational readiness of equipment and assets, translation of strategy into operation plans and compliance, adoption of technology to improve processes and safety etc.
Ensure that OBS is kept abreast of industrial trends and standards in order that OBS remains updated and contemporary in commercial and operational practices.
Lead and manage a team of Managers and ensure vendors/contractors fulfil their contractual obligations in meeting the required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Responsible for developing, reviewing, and effectively implementing crisis management and business continuity as part of the larger OBS contingency plans
Work closely with other OBS units and engage relevant stakeholders to plan details and drive continual improvement of Business Continuity Plans and testing for critical functions in the team.
Oversee the procurement of equipment and/or services when required and ensure timely payment to vendors/contractors in accordance with Finance guidelines.
Requirements:
Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience/ background in logistics, operations management, large-scale supply chain setting, and managing outsourced operations/vendors, and at least 5 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and warehousing. Familiarity with relevant regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices, such as WSH, and ISO (9001, 14001, 45001).
Proficient in using data analytics, visualisation tools and trade systems such as logistics management systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and transportation management systems (TMS).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data-driven insights to make informed decisions.
Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Proven ability to drive change, implement process improvements, re-engineering, and digitalisation, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The job requires work mobility in all OBS\xe2\x80\x99 campuses / sites (e.g. Pulau Ubin, East Coast Campus, Punggol Reception, Changi, and OBS@Coney in the future); and beyond official working hours when the need arises.
To Note:
\xc2\xb7 Incumbent will be required to move around all OBS\xe2\x80\x99 campuses / sites (e.g. Pulau Ubin, East Coast Campus, Punggol Reception, Changi, and OBS@Coney in the future).
\xc2\xb7 Bus transport is provided in the morning to Punggol Point Jetty from various locations points to take ferry into OBS (the pick-up points and timings are attached).
\xc2\xb7 Lunch is provided if working at OBS Pulau Ubin campus.
Contract Period: 3-Years
Salary: $5500 - $6500
Location: Pulau Ubin Office unless there is work that needs to be attended to at the other OBS camps and/or if there are external meetings off-site
Working Schedule: Mon to Thu, 8.15am \xe2\x80\x93 5.45pm and Fri, 8.15am \xe2\x80\x93 5.15pm (Generally 5-day work week, 42 hours/week)
