Job Description


The Senior Manager, Mail Information Systems is responsible to ensure the system uptime and availability for MIS systems and services located in both SingPost Centre and eCommerce Logistics Hub to support the hub processing operations. The Mail Information System comprises of the servers, routers, firewalls etc. which is designed to be isolated fro external network and provides the necessary data and systems control for the various sortation machines. He is to design the maintenance program and to manage logistics support, system obsolescence, contract and vendor management and other aspects related to life cycle management. He/she is also to provide technical insight and solutions to support various mail functional groups which shall include new projects initiatives and issues raised from IT security aspects. He leads a team of 5 staff responsible for the in-house maintenance of the system.

Plan and directs activities concerned with the maintenance of sortation systems in Singpost Centre.

Responsibilities

  • To develop the Mail Information Systems that is able to meet the future demands of mail/parcel sortation processes
  • To lead and perform technical support roles for future of Post (FOP) data matrix systems.
  • To manage any MIS related incidents and ensure expeditious system recovery. Thereafter to review incident resolution from principal vendors and support on the corrective action plan.
  • Ensure daily health check and maintenance scopes for Loghub Scada systems are due diligently covered.
  • To lead and align Group Tech IT Infrastructure Security Protocol.
  • Evaluate and support on tech refresh exercise on obsolete systems hardware and software.
  • Managing and support 3rd party vendors and coordinating internal stake holders for improvement projects and new initiatives.
  • Manage and support deployment for a fleet of mobile devices used by Mail Logistics Delivery via MDM (Mobile Device Management)
  • Ensure the different interconnected systems work in cohesion within the overall Mail Strategy and IT ecosystem.
  • To manage a team of 5 technicians and develop the necessary competency and training framework to ensure staff has the relevant IT skill set.
  • To take charge of any other duties as assigned by his reporting officer.
Requirements
  • Diploma, Advance/Higher/Graduate in Computer Science, computer engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years experiences in the following:
  • Managing both windows and Linus platforms servers.
  • Managing network equipment including edge, core switches, routers, firewall and VPN policies.
  • Working experience on administering systems running on VMware platforms.
  • Experience in working with mobile device management tools.
  • Professional IT certification such as/any in VMware certified Professional (VCP), Cisco (CCNA) certification or AWS certified associate, etc is advantageous
