Job Description


What the role is:You will conduct literature reviews on IPC surveillance and outbreak investigations, synthesizing current evidence for best practices and guidelines. You will also be involved in training and standardizing methods of surveillance work. Failure to do well may lead to outdated IPC guidelines, ineffective IPC interventions and poor surveillance data collection methods.What you will be working on:

  • Conduct literature reviews such as narrative reviews, scoping reviews, systematic reviews, related to IPC and outbreak investigations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in the analysing the IPC surveillance data, HCE data and infectious diseases research data. Prepare manuscripts, reports, and presentations to communicate the findings from data analysis to the stakeholders. \xe2\x80\xa2 Write surveillance protocols for IPC surveillance and HCE unit works, assist with designing and developing data collection forms on REDCap and other data collection platforms. Develop and maintaining the training materials and work flows for IPC surveillance and HCE works. \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor and tracking all projects and their deadlines, ensuring timely completion. \xe2\x80\xa2 Organize and maintaining the structure of systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and narrative review files and folders on the shared drive, ensuring all files are systematically arranged and easily. \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate data and sample collection for HCE investigations during seasonal surge in outbreaks.
What we are looking for:- Minimal tertiary qualifications in recognised degree preferably in Public Health (MPH), Epidemiology, or a closely related field. - Work experience is an added advantage for this position, although not a requirement. Preferred experience includes, but is not limited to: \xe2\x80\xa2 Conducting systematic reviews, and scoping reviews \xe2\x80\xa2 Performing quantitative data synthesis such as meta-analysis \xe2\x80\xa2 Manuscript writing and preparing presentations \xe2\x80\xa2 Capable of organizing multiple reviews, reports, and data meeting the deadlines efficiently \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in articulating complex information clearly in both written and verbal forms, especially in writing reports, and manuscripts \xe2\x80\xa2 Resourceful and able to find or develop solutions to challenges encountered during research and review processes \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in using software tools for management of reports, and analysis, such as Endnote/Mendeley, Revman, GradePro GDT, STATA \xe2\x80\xa2 Exhibits curiosity in exploring new ideas, tools, and techniques to enhance the method of conduct of the reviewsAbout Ministry of Health:The Ministry of Health\'s (MOH) vision is to champion a healthy nation with our people - to live well, live long and with peace of mind.
