What the role is:
In this role, you will be at the support in the developing, implantation and review of regulatory policies for healthcare services and care models, ensuring that they align with patient safety risks and service complexity under Healthcare Services Act (HCSA).
What you will be working on:
Your primary focus will be on implementing the Healthcare Services Act, working closely with MOH's Legal Office and the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) on legislative amendments and licence conditions. You will be responsible for planning and tracking policy review timelines, identifying regulatory gaps and supporting various workstreams, including operational workflows, IT system implementation and enforcement mechanisms. A key aspect of your role will involve assessing the impact of evolving healthcare models on existing regulatory standards. Stakeholder engagement will form a significant part of your responsibilities. You will plan and execute engagement initiatives, including focus group discussions and public consultations, for both new and existing regulatory standards. You will also provide comprehensive secretariat support to expert committees by coordinating meetings, preparing materials and reviewing committee composition. The role also involves analytical work in reviewing and redesigning inspection and audit programmes. You will analyse data from various sources, including inspections, audits and complaints investigations, to develop risk-based inspection schedules in collaboration with inspection teams. You will also be responsible for developing standardised assessment frameworks for regulatory actions and maintaining process control and document management frameworks within operational branches.
