What the role is:About Outward Bound Singapore - a division of NYC Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) is a member of Outward Bound International - a global network of Outward Bound schools operating in 35 countries. As a national training institution, our mission is to develop mentally and physically rugged youths to be active citizens inspired to serve the community.What you will be working on:Be part of the dynamic Programmes Development team at OBS, where we are at the forefront of creating exciting and innovative experience. The Curriculum Planning and Development sub-unit, enhances the OBS experience by providing valuable insights through utilising WOG-approved digital solutions to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of OBS programme research and evaluations . These insights help shape our programmes pedagogy and design, making sure they are based on sound theories and research. Responsibilities of Senior Manager/ Manager (Curriculum Planning and Development) To do that, you will be carrying out the following responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Use technology to automate data analysis and reporting \xe2\x80\xa2 Apply the right research methods to gather information for reports and policy making \xe2\x80\xa2 Create reports, presentations and dashboards to share research findings and recommendations \xe2\x80\xa2 Evaluate current OBS programmes against relevant data to identify ways to improve them \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage multiple research projects to find practical solutions and improvements for Outdoor Adventure Education \xe2\x80\xa2 Use digital tools to automate tasks and improve efficiency within the team If you are passionate about data, research and youth development and are eager for a meaningful and exciting career, we welcome you to join the OBS family!What we are looking for:Requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in data science, statistics and/ or research. If you have 6 to 8 years of experience, you can be appointed as Senior Manager. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in digitalisation, automation and data analytics \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in statistical software such as SPSS, R is advantageous \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Power BI \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficiency in Python programming \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong communication and stakeholder management skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Keen eye for detail and commitment to upholding data integrity \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical , problem solving and organisational skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Resourceful, self-motivated, curious and high learning agility \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to conduct literature reviews on Outdoor Adventure Education \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to be based at any of OBS\' campuses / sites and travel between sites (e.g. Pulau Ubin, East Coast Campus, Punggol Reception & Activity Centre, Changi Campsite, and OBS@Coney in the future)About National Youth Council:About National Youth Council (NYC) - Creating Opportunities for All Youth to Be Heard, Be Empowered, Be the Change At NYC, as the national agency for youth matters, we believe in a world where young people are respected and heard, able to take action on issues that matter and make a positive difference around them.
