What the role is:
As a Senior Manager / Manager (Data Platform) you will join the Operations Planning Unit / Data Office within VITAL's Central Services. You will lead the strategic exploration and implementation of our Data Hub approach, with particular focus on Microsoft Dataverse and Power Platform technologies. This role involves establishing robust data platform foundations to enable data-driven operations across the organisation and working collaboratively with various functions to understand their data needs and translate them into platform solutions.
What you will be working on:

• Data platform exploration and implementation to establish our Data Hub approach through Microsoft Power Platform's Dataverse, including platform configuration, data model design, and integration planning, as well as evaluation and comparison of alternative data hub solutions to inform strategic platform decisions o Analytics and insights generation using Power BI and other tools to develop dashboards, reports, and insights that support operational planning and decision-making o Data catalogue development to create comprehensive inventories of organisational data assets and establish data discovery capabilities o Cross-functional collaboration with divisions to understand data requirements, analyse business processes, and translate needs into platform solutions o Documentation and knowledge transfer to ensure sustainable platform adoption and support future development initiatives

What we are looking for:

• Minimum 3 years working experience and preferably in technical roles such as data management and system or platform implementation. o Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform and familiarity with Dataverse or similar data platforms will be advantageous o Programming knowledge in languages such as Python, SQL, or PowerShell for data integration and automation tasks o Experience with data management including data modelling, cataloguing, and governance principles o Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to technical detail o Communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and document solutions effectively o Fresh grads with relevant qualifications and internship experience will be considered Kindly submit your application through Careers@Gov only.
