professional to join them as
Senior Manager - Mechanical Engineering (Data Centre
Construction) (Ref: KHXXXX)
The successful candidate is expected to perform engineering tasks towards the
completion of the data centre project
.
The Job
? Perform engineering tasks for the design and construction of data centre
facilities
? Design electrical systems and prepare mechanical engineering calculations
and deliverables in support of mechanical systems designs
? Coordinate with disciplines in the preparation and development of the
deliverables and ensure their inputs are incorporated
? Provide specialized technical input to studies and all relevant technical
documentation
? Provide construction input for design engineering suitability and control
? Manpower and scheduling
? Estimating support
? Bid evaluation and purchasing of major equipment
? Preparation of contract requisition to award
? Responsible for mechanical installation performance, schedule, budget,
safety and commissioning
? Review documentations submitted by vendor and ensure that all comments
are incorporated to meet the design intent of the system for the project
? Release/approval key deliverables for procurement and construction
purposes
? Co-ordinate changes as required
? Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings
The Candidate
? Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineer (or similar experience and
qualification) preferably with professional registration
? 5+ years working in mechanical engineering
? Minimum 5 years of Data Centre experience
? 2+ years' experience in Asia (NEA or SEA)
? Experience of working with international companies
? Experience dealing with multi-discipline design teams
? LEED / BREEAM Certification experience
? Technical knowledge and understanding of all stages of Engineering Design
and Construction for Mechanical systems from Preliminary Design to
Commissioning and Handover
? Technical knowledge and understanding of project execution processes in a
fast-track environment
? Extensive local construction knowledge including knowledge of local codes
and regulations for design implementation
