Job Description

: DBJ Singapore Limited (the "Company\xe2\x80\x9d) is a subsidiary of Development Bank of Japan Inc. (\xe2\x80\x9cDBJ\xe2\x80\x9d), a financial institution wholly-owned by the Japanese government, which provides a wide range of financial products and services including senior debt, mezzanine, equity as well as financial advisory services. As DBJ\xca\xbcs gateway to Asia Pacific region, the Company is responsible for sourcing deals through developing and enhancing the local business network, and supporting execution of relevant deals that are in line with the DBJ\xca\xbcs APAC strategy. We are currently looking for a suitable candidate for a Senior Manager position in our Corporate Finance & Strategic Investment (APAC) Department.

• Expand DBJ\xca\xbcs APAC business in a way of satisfying both the regional characteristics and DBJ\xca\xbcs mission, and build rapport with management of clients and partners.
• Drive and manage the team to maximize its performance to productively juggle various phases (research, origination, execution and monitoring) of financing and investment deals across various industries in collaboration with Japan HQ, and occasionally step-in the deal negotiations when necessary.
• Conduct periodic and ad-hoc reporting to the Company\xca\xbcs board and Japan HQ, including but not limited to monthly/weekly reporting as well as day-to-day operational issues.
• As we are a government-affiliated financial institution, the main scope of this position is to coordinate and negotiate not only with private companies but also with the government.
• Engage in Company\xca\xbcs management issues and strategic initiatives together with CEO and other GMs.

Job Requirements: Education

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law or relevant is required.

Past Working Experience

• At least 5 years of experience working in Corporate Finance and Investment industry.
• Hands-on experience in loan financing and management of large, industry-leading enterprises within the last 5 years. In particular, experience in airline and aircraft finance, which is a focus area of the DBJ Group, is essential.
• Experience as a project manager managing the research, origination, execution, and monitoring cycles of all of the following over the past 5 years; private equity investments, mezzanine investments, and fund investments.
• Experience in research and investment in the field of decarbonized energy, which is our company\'s area of focus.
• At least 5 years of experience working for a government-related financial institution or investment firm.
• Experience in an overseas office of a government financial institution or investment firm reporting to its headquarters as Manager or above. This position requires a deep understanding of reporting structures to government and regulatory owned headquarters and communication with other government agencies.
• At least 3 years of experience working in relation to Japanese financial regulations and laws in order to ensure that the Singapore office complies with the same compliance standard of corporate finance and investment criteria as our Japan head office that is regulated by Ministry of Finance in Japan.
• Experience working for or negotiating with government agencies as clients.
• Advanced communication, presentation and stakeholders management skills in both in English and Japanese (JPLT N1 or equivalent) are required as this position is to communicate, read and understand as well as respond and present in these two languages to our partners and clients in Southeast Asia and Japan.
• Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of global banking and financial market.
