Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager / Associate Director in Sustainable Procurement to lead their efforts in sustainable practices at the University. The ideal candidate will not only possess a deep understanding of procurement and sustainable sourcing but also be actively engaged in social media to promote University\'s commitment to sustainability.

The responsibilities of this role are:

Develop and Implement Sustainable Procurement Strategies:

• Formulate and execute sustainable procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability considerations into the procurement process.

Supplier Engagement and Evaluation:

• Identify, assess, and engage with suppliers committed to sustainable practices.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to drive sustainability initiatives.

Policy Development and Compliance:

• Develop and update sustainable procurement policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to ethical sourcing practices.

Monitoring and Reporting:

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of sustainable procurement initiatives.
• Generate regular reports on sustainability metrics, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Effectively communicate sustainable procurement initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
• Engage with customers, suppliers, and the broader community through various channels, including social media.

Social Media Presence:

• Actively participate in social media platforms to promote sustainable procurement efforts.
• Share industry insights, organization updates, and relevant content to enhance our brand\'s visibility and reputation

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience :

Educational Background:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Sustainability, or related field.
• Master\'s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on sustainable sourcing.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing sustainable procurement initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills:

• In-depth understanding of sustainable procurement practices and industry standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Social Media Proficiency:

• Active and engaging presence on major social media platforms.
• Ability to leverage social media to promote sustainable practices and engage with stakeholders.

Leadership and Collaboration:

• Demonstrated leadership skills in driving sustainability initiatives.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

Flexibility and Adaptability:

• Adaptable to evolving industry trends and organizational needs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
