What the role is:You will be responsible for analysing budget requirements to optimise and ensure that funds are prudently expended across various portfolios.What you will be working on:Such activities include budget planning, budget allocation, budget monitoring, shifting and releasing of funds according to project requirements. You compare year-on-year trends and highlight issues which merit management attention and assist in their resolution. You also provide inputs regarding procurement procedures for the portfolios to ensure they are aligned with existing Finance and Procurement Directives, and highlight any non-compliance and recommended solutions during audit checks. In addition, you work closely with different stakeholders, including budget managers and project managers, to ensure that projects are managed timely and organisational needs are met.What we are looking for:You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Banking or Business Administration, with at least 5 years\' relevant work experience. You should be an individual with a positive work attitude who is able to lead a team and have good interpersonal, organisational and time-management skills. You should have a flare for numbers and demonstrate competency in analytics and problem-solving. Appointment will commensurate with your experience.
