You will be part of HPB\xe2\x80\x99s Risk Management, Operational Excellence & Compliance Division, this position will be responsible for collaborating with teams across HPB to drive our risk management and operational excellence strategy forward.

To ensure our teams are delivering on their business objectives, while executing effectively against local and central risk expectations, this candidate will need to be a trusted advisor supporting the teams on assessing, mitigating, and accepting risk; ensuring a strong control focus is integrated into day-to-day operations, that operational risks and issues are reported timely, root causes identified, and sustainable solutions implemented that addressed the root causes.

What you will be working on

As a key member of the team, you will seek to be the subject matter expert in enterprise and operational risk management matters, supporting Business/Risk Owners in identifying and articulating risks. You will partner with Risk Owners to thoughtfully manage these risks. In addition, you will need to facilitate, oversee and track operational incidents, escalations and near-misses \xe2\x80\x93 connecting management, together with relevant stakeholders to response, recover and mitigate impact.

You will coordinate and review business processes to effectively manage and resolve issues, by performing analysis of incidents and near-misses to identify the nature of root causes and partner with relevant stakeholders to advise on long-term remediation. You are expected to drive early detection of risks and issues through dashboarding driven by Key Risk Indicators and other process indicators, supporting the business to fix the issues rapidly and in line with HPB risk appetite.

Lastly, you will be supporting the BCM Champions and work collaboratively with the other team members within Internal Audit, Operational Excellence and divisions responsible for business continuity and disaster recovery to ensure comprehensive and effective business continuity plans and practices, and crisis exercises and reviews. You will also support in promoting a risk & control awareness and incident reporting culture through engagement, ability building and application programmes and sharing of past learnings.

What we are looking for

Join us if you are a dynamic and self-motivated individual with at least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 working experience in risk management, financial controls or auditing work experience, proven record in the fields of Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, and Business Continuity.

• Ability to build relationships, influence decisions, and partner with stakeholders to deliver on shared objectives.

• Proven experience in the leading, application and managing governance, risks and controls

• Confidence in decision-making in highly matrixed, complex & ambiguous situations.

• Analytical thinker with strong quantitative skills and demonstrated experience in developing actionable insights.

• Strong project and process management skills; Proven ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
