Job Description


Overall Role Purpose:To be instrumental in implementing pricing and yield improvement initiatives in country such as GPI, Ship to Profile/Commit/S&S surcharge compliance review/Red & Yellow card and to ensure effective deployment of new and aligned pricing offerings and practices in SG from SPA workshop discussion thus leading the identification and development of opportunities to increase profitability and market share.

  • Drive country pricing processes to ensure country pricing strategies are developed and implemented to achieve Pricing KPIs.
  • Develop draft pricing policy/discount policy, establishing new contract rates dependant on market conditions, business size and opportunity in order to ensure the company meets its Revenue and Ebit targets.
  • Improve on the compliance level of Key Compliance KPIs eg. NPC (available from Monthly Pricing Reports) through regular reviews/projects.
  • Present analytical presentations and recommendations to management and groups on key projects such as LH CpK change, S&S rate change and impact, promotion programs and new competitive rate programs.
  • Provide effective advisory support to country sales in Local and regionally negotiated RFQ for Local and AP TRB.
  • Working with RO pricing to implement improvement actions to Red/Yellow Card Customers to improve yield.
  • Guide and assist sales to formulate pricing strategies during negotiations with Strategic/Key Customers and to address Red/Yellow Card Customers impacting Country Performance.
  • Develop and formulate country pricing strategies, structure and methodology to harmonize with regional standards in SPA Workshop.
  • Working with RO and SG Research to develop and manage pricing research in SPA workshop.
  • Verify regional/global customer contracts for billing accuracy and profitability impact from analysis output file,
  • Be the country lead person in implementing all AP pricing initiatives and policies.
  • Provide communication to all line managers on new pricing initiatives or policies.
  • Participate or lead in required regional area/country projects.
  • Support in evaluating business decisions with major EBITA implications and in achieving target through competitive pricing mechanisms review in Local TRB and GMB GPI Call.
  • Develop and implement price promotions and campaigns to support revenue and active customer growth.
  • Drive SG GPI exercises and responsible for achieving NPC targets.
  • Manage MDM team to expedite account opening and screen customer applications.
  • Streamline and automate processes to improve speed and accuracy of pricing requests and reviews.
  • Identify opportunities and provide recommendations to grow the business.
  • Produce pricing KPI reports and analysis for the use of the commercial teams.
  • Study and analyze competition pricing strategy and provide insights to senior management to assist in strategic country pricing decisions.
  • Collaborate with CPR/Communication team to conduct research on pricing, seek any opportunity for margin improvement and support campaign program for customer development.
  • Develop a high performance service culture within the functional department.
  • Plan, organise and direct an efficient and effective functional department.
  • Develop IKOs/KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.
  • Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a product or service pricing role, or a market or costing analysis position preferred.
  • Degree in Business/Finance will be an added advantage.
