Role Responsibilities

• The role holder will be responsible for leading the stress test analytics team in analysing and organising stress test data, presenting conclusions and making actionable recommendations to the senior management. The scope will cover projections of balance sheet, profit and loss (including income, expenses, credit & other impairments), other capital and liquidity items for the Group for regulatory and management stress tests.
• The role holder will regularly interact with teams in multiple departments including Finance, Risk, Treasury and Business and will closely collaborate with teams in Singapore, India and London to discharge their duties.

Specifically, the key responsibilities would include:

• Drive the analysis of stress test results and the implications for strategy, planning and risk management based on established statistical and analytical methods.
• Conduct review of plausibility of the generated stress test output from the enterprise stress testing platform.
• Ensure the production of high-quality materials for senior committees and the regulator to support \xe2\x80\x9ctelling the story\xe2\x80\x9d of the stress test results. This includes the ICAAP stress test document and presentation material for senior committees and regulators.
• Deliver all supporting materials for the BoE results release, including a summary of results and implications for the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Management Team.
• Lead the design and implementation of a reporting interface to the stress testing platform as part of the Group\xe2\x80\x99s strategic solution for enterprise stress testing.

Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• 10+ years of exposure to banking with sound knowledge of financial products; those with qualifications like CFA or FRM will be preferred.
• Experience in financial planning and analysis, credit risk, balance sheet management, Treasury or strategy.
• Knowledge of regulatory capital (specifically Basel III or IV / CRD IV regulations) and / or stress testing \xe2\x80\x93 Bank of England stress tests, CCAR, MAS Industry-Wide Stress Test or ICAAP stress tests.
• Ability to synthesise complex or diverse information, collect and research data, use intuition, business understanding and experience to complement data and procedures.
• Expertise in using MS Office tools \xe2\x80\x93 Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Exposure to visualisation tools, e.g. Tableau and working knowledge of SAS / Python / macro programming on excel using VBA will be advantageous.
• Strong creativity and problem-solving abilities.
• Confident self-motivated person with a high level of drive and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Role Specific Technical Competencies

• Exposure to banking / risk management with knowledge of products.
• Exposure to balance sheet management /Regulatory Capital / Financial planning
• Knowledge of or direct experience in stress testing.
• Analytics and problem solving skills
• Exposure to visualisation tools, e.g., Tableau.
• Expertise in MS Office tools \xe2\x80\x93 Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
