The Senior Manager, Tradelane development is responsible for the oversight and development of all trade lanes in and out of the Shipco Asia region. The role is also responsible for conceptualizing, leading and managing marketing strategies and sales targets, visit key markets to investigate operations and local conditions. The role will liaise closely with the regional and local sales & marketing teams to discuss and evaluate sales opportunities, problems, business observations, customer feedback, etc, and to devise and responsive action plans and strategic initiatives that advance the commercial interests of Shipco Transport across the region.
What You'll Do...
Lead a team of tradelane managers to develop and maintain a regional share of business for international clients within Asia regional trade lanes in collaboration with all company sales channels
Manage relationship with LATAM partners for Asia
Engage with all sales teams across the organization and provide action plan so that sales teams can effectively promote and sell trade lane attributes and provide small, medium and multi-national customers with customised solutions to their specific needs
Lead team to develop a robust pipeline to meet budget and trade lane strategic and financial objectives
Analyze trade lane related market conditions to ensure effective/optimal pricing and service development
Provide leadership and support to the extended tradelane development team in relation to the maintenance and growth of trade lane specific business
Participate in the integration of new customers through the effective engagement with overseas
Lead team to expand services as necessary and do what is needed to stabilize them
Engage with Product as needed to maintain baseload for the services
Manage monthly status reporting to management with volume and income variances
What You'll Need...
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management or related field with a master degree being advantageous.
5+ years' experience in the Ocean/Air freight industries
Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish is highly preferred to support smooth collaboration with LATAM partners.
Experience in commercial and operational roles in freight management/NVOCC business (Product/Commercial Building Development/Tender Management) is a strong advantage
Experience of operating in global, matrix business environment
Strong commercial mind-set and good product knowledge
Excellent analytical skills & negotiation experience
Ability to understand and communicate complex data/financial information
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, web-based and job related specific software applications
