Job Description

As part of the Global Materials Supply (GMS) function , the Senior Material Costing Analyst is a team member of the GMS Material Intelligence Group t hat services all Brands and products sourced through the Global Sourcing Offices (ASO, ESO, PSO). The role focuses on developing and supporting strategic material costing initiatives taking into account risk management and financial impact . W orking closely with GMS and brand leadership , you will conduct research and analysis on macro - economic and commodity trends contributing to a costing fact base to support negotiation s and inform material sourcing strategy . The role has extensive focus on data analysis with a strong focus on commodity prices and materials costing . Frequent influential communication to Management level is required
Key Result Areas:
Business Intelligence
Leveraging propriety data streams , subject matter experts and data scientists , develop and refine (quarterly) long - term material costing guidance informed by quantitative and fundamental indicators resulting in actionable insights
Actively monitor risk events , having awareness of how changes in the macro-economic environment translates into supplier delivery and material costing impact , actively contributing to a weekly intelligence report
Material Costing Management
Maintain and develop GMS negotiation tools (including material clean sheets ) , automating pricing modelling to drive negotiation talking points and supplier resourcing decisions
A ctively participate in and support material supplier negotiations, driving creation of a fact base (including supplie r and mater ial analysis) to direct negotiation strategy and script leading to better outcomes
Project Management
Provide clear communication to internal stakeholders to influence behavior change and achieve business objectives
Co-ordinate and support ad-hoc material costing related requests (e.g. sustainable alternatives price analysis, specific commodity deep dive s etc.)

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU :
3 - 5 years of experience in a supply chain , procurement , costing or consulting analyst role
Undergraduate degree in Quantitative/ST EM field
Proficiency in costing model s (e.g. clean sheets) with preference for pricing related data
Intermediate user of Microsoft Office tools, especially excel (Pivot tables, etc.)
Basic knowledge of commodity markets
