Combining the artistry of dessert making with their own cutting-edge ideas, this unique retail outlet acts as a physical testament to their dedication to going beyond traditional hardware offerings to deliver remarkable dessert experiences.

They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who will play a crucial role within the team. You will leverage your technical skills and innovative mindset to ensure successful mass production. You will be an integral part of the design and prototyping process, closely collaborating with cross-functional teams. A keen sense of detail and problem-solving prowess are required to excel in this role, with ample opportunities to see your designs come to life.

This position is also open to candidates who are willing to relocate to Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the mechanical design & development of mechanical components and subsystems while supporting product lifecycle activities.

Lead in R&D for new design concepts for the next generation of products.

Conduct experimental validation of proof of concepts and prototypes.

Evaluate designs and products to prepare cost estimates.

Optimize mechanical design for manufacturing and assembly.

Manage mechanical BOM and lead technical negotiations with vendors.

Deliver co-created innovative solutions to problems faced by engineering and product teams (product, R&D, and/or manufacturing).

Achieve targets on time to market, cost, and quality of products.

Create CAD designs of key mechanical components of the product.

Key Requirements

Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

Minimally 3-5 years experience in a hardware engineering, product development, or management role.

Knowledge and experience in full product development and management lifecycle, including design, process, test, and reliability.

Familiarity with project management tools and methodology.

Excellent math, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Foundation in product development in mechanical design or embedded systems is a plus.

Ability to interface with people and problem solve across different domains of engineering and commercial.

Broad technical capabilities with a good appreciation for electronic, mechanical, and software engineering.

Keen eye for detail and organization of technical documentation and responsible towards timelines.

Strong communication skills to communicate technically complex issues succinctly.

Love for solving complex and challenging engineering problems.
