Responsibilities

• To ensure all project requirements are met including the project schedule for the equipment assigned.
• To review the Equipment documents such as specification/data sheets/SDRL/TR etc. prepared by Engineering Consultant (EC), on key engineering data, scope of supply and all package interfaces
• To short list vendor bid proposals for detailed technical evaluation
• To coordinate with EC on issuing technical queries (TQ) on vendor\'s proposal to vendors, TQ response from vendors and organize bid clarification meeting to clarify the TQ response.
• To expedite outstanding technical issues from vendors and ensure the Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) report for package equipment to be issued as per the schedule. TBE report shall contain the TR deviations which have to be agreed with CLIENT PRE. Thereafter PO will be placed by Procurement team based on technical acceptance and commercial. PREs to issue TQ to obtain official approval on all the deviations.
• To monitor progress of vendor proposal submission to Procurement team. To initiate vendor coordination meetings and coordinate review of vendor documentation with CLIENT and EC for engineering related documents.
• To carryout Pre-inspection meeting (PIM) before starting fabrication
• To attend equipment FAT at vendor\'s shop and assist in clearing the equipment punches after the FAT
• To ensure that release note from Independent Verification Body (IVB) is issued before equipment is allowed to ship.
• To provide engineering support to construction team related to the package equipment during installation

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or other Engineering related disciplines
• Have experience as a Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Package Responsible Engineer.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the Oil & Gas Industry
• Good communication & Interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge on International Codes & Standards for Package Equipment such as ASME, API codes, NFPA, NORSOK
• Proficient in Excel & Word programs
• Able to work in fast paced environment
• Possess strong leadership skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Able to work long hours during peak periods.
• Willing to travel overseas
