You will operate both independently and within a collaborative engineering environment, proactively identifying and mitigating technical risks to ensure the timely and to-cost delivery of top-quality products. From conceptualization to mass production, you will craft products with intricate technical specifications, ensuring they surpass rigorous validation stages. As a technical leader, you will also disseminate knowledge and foster best practices, continually challenging and enhancing Rapsodo\'s engineering standards to elevate design quality. Requirements Key Responsibilities:

• Design robustly engineered products suitable for mass production and assembly.
• Develop engineering specifications and requirements; develop solutions to achieve and exceed expectations of marketing and customer requirements.
• Develop project schedules and drive projects to successful completion.
• Manage risks associated with the delivery of projects and maintain suitable backup options.
• Test and verify your design to meet all functionality, reliability, serviceability, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist the organization in maintaining system quality throughout the product lifecycle.
• Expected to work with cross disciplines, functional and geographical teams.
• Expected to drive and manage multiple project teams simultaneously.
• Lead design studies (independently and in teams) to solve technical or consumer issues found in the development of a product.

Other Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or related field of study. Relevant master\'s degree is added advantage.
• 8 years relevant experience in case parts and/or mechanism design. Preferred experience in consumer electronics type products.
• An Understanding of injection moulding, die casting and common manufacturing techniques and finishes.
• At least 2 years of project management experience as team lead, supervising 2-5 junior engineers for multiple project simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently or on a team, with minimal supervision, in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Ability to interface with all levels in hardware/firmware/software development and test organisations.
• A creative and considered approach to problem solving, following clear design processes with pragmatic approach to balance cost and value.
• Experience to verify performance through empirical testing as well as analytical models. Strong problem-solving skills.
• Expert in system integration for multiple product development cycles in an R&D environment.
• Excellent prototyping skills.
