. Reporting to the Team Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to the development and execution of ETB's light products trading strategy.

Main Responsibilities
The job holder will be part of a global team with a focus on Asia, and will be responsible for and actively involved in:
Trading physical oil products (naphtha and/or condensate) and associated derivatives.
Managing price risk exposure on the trading book.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with trading counterparties.
Identifying and executing the growth strategy in the region.
Negotiating term and spot contracts with producers, refiners, and traders.
Maintaining a deep understanding of the light oil products market and energy markets in general.
Developing proprietary trading strategies for both physical and derivative markets.
Collaborating with the London office to create arbitrage opportunities towards the East.
Expanding the condensate portfolio supported by Eni upstream flows.
Liaising with the shipping team for chartering vessels on a spot or term basis.
Providing analytical assessments to support trading decisions.
General Trading Responsibilities
Negotiate and conclude market transactions on a spot or term basis, within an agreed strategy, to generate value for ETB.
Ensure that the oil production of Eni's upstream affiliates is sold to the best buyer.
Locate and acquire optimal feedstock for Eni's refining and petrochemical system.
Locate and sell products from Eni's refining and petrochemical system to the best buyer.
Provide regular updates to management on trading activity, highlighting both routine desk performance and progress on new projects, initiatives and trade ideas.
Be able to develop an asset-backed trading strategy wherever Eni operates productions or assets.
Provide insight and support for the development of the long-term light products trading strategy for ETB.
Maintain regular communication with products traders in London and Houston.
Develop and execute physical and financial light products trading strategies.
Build and maintain key relationships with other trading companies, refiners, petrochemical companies and producers.
Develop and present analysis to management to support future trading positions.
Track and communicate developments in the market and relevant market intelligence, including supply and demand balances and competitor activities, to other traders in the team.
Support the origination team in developing long-term asset and contractual positions in line with the ETB long-term crude trading strategy.
Liaise with charterers in shipping and operations to ensure all physical movements are executed safely and efficiently.
Participate in business development initiatives by assessing new market entries, trading hubs and partnership opportunities.
Ensure effective credit risk management by liaising with credit teams and monitoring counterparty exposure.
Guide and mentor the Trading Analysts dedicated to the oil products trading team.
Upon conclusion of any transaction, enter all details into the internal trading system in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure all trading activity is always carried out in compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and the principles of Eni.
Skills and experience required
:
The preferred educational qualification is a degree (with preference for a numerate subject such as Engineering, Mathematics, or Economics).
Extensive experience in the supply and trading of naphtha and condensates.
Proven track record of delivery.
Experience with derivative instruments for hedging.
Knowledge of market fundamentals and market analysis.
Experience of refining, petrochemical and upstream operations and processes is considered beneficial.
Knowledge of standard IT software and software dedicated to trading activities.
Strong team player.
Courageous, confident, resilient, dynamic and disciplined.
Experience of working in a global and international organisation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships internally and externally.
Full command of the English language (written and spoken); knowledge of any other language would be beneficial.
