We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer – Voice to join our Singapore Networks team. This role will report to the Engineering Manager – Singapore and is responsible for supporting and ensuring delivery of our voice networks. If successful, you will be involved in the configuration and expansion of our voice capability and exploring new technologies to support our future growth plans. As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an after-hours and on-call roster. What you'll do as a Senior Voice Engineer:

  • Deliver all voice network services (voice, and other hosted services and facilities)
  • Configuration, operations, capacity and integration of all voice network infrastructure to provide the highest levels of functionality and service
  • Ensure maintenance, upgrades and new implementations are carried out with minimal impact on business and customer operations
  • Constantly monitor technology, industry and government policy and standards, and inform the organisation on their impact
  • Work with internal stakeholders documenting high level and detailed design, and then implementing those designs to deliver new product capabilities and network capacity in existing and new markets
  • Serve our customers, ensuring we deliver quality, reliability, and security through the application of Network Reliability Engineering principles
  • Provide technical coaching to more junior team members – continuous improvement of process and implementation
Qualifications What you'll need to succeed:
  • 3 + years experience in a Voice Engineering role in a Telco/ISP/Large enterprise
  • VoIP technologies including Session Border Controllers (SBC), VoIP principles, protocols and codecs
  • Strong technical knowledge in SIP protocol
  • Good knowledge in traditional TDM protocols (i.e. SS7 / ISDN PRI)
  • Strong technical knowledge of network architecture and internet protocols.
  • Experience in designing large voice networks, ideally gained in a service provider environment
  • Experience in troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Experience with virtualised systems - KVM hypervisors, Linux O/S
  • Experience with automation - Ansible, Python
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer focused attitude
  • You're a team player with great interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think outside of the box, and demonstrate strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to provide after-hours support on a rotating roster 1 week per month
