About the Department

Client Services (Credit) - Collections is responsible for interacting with clients, either directly or indirectly, in support of sales, trading, relationship management, or portfolio management activities. The Collections area is responsible for collecting delinquent accounts and rescheduling payments, as necessary, to minimize delinquencies and foreclosures.

Consumer Banking covers activities related to providing services and products directly to consumers through various business channels. This group includes retail banking, consumer lending, auto finance, small business banking, and related business areas.

Job Responsibilities

  • Contact customer for payment, negotiate and workout payment plan to cure delinquent accounts and increase collection amount
  • Review customers\' profile and recommend the most cost effective and efficient collection action and treatment, including restructuring of loan within regulatory and internal guidelines
  • Minimize risk exposure, reduce non-performing loans, and credit losses by commencing legal proceeding to recover collateral
  • Attend and follow up on customer enquiries or requests via various communication tools (e.g., telephone, emails etc.)
  • Handle disputes and ensure issues are resolved promptly and professionally
  • Compile statistics and reports by agreed timeline
  • Assist to review risk and compliance related matters (e.g., to address or mitigate operational risks, manage third party arrangements) and coordinate requests from auditors
  • Adhere and comply with regulations and bank\'s policies and processes
  • Meet KPI set by management
Job Requirements
  • Degree holder in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum 1 year, banking and finance related, debt management
