About the Department

Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.

We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.

Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and process Customer claims within the agreed service levels.
  • Manage third party service providers to ensure they meet required service levels.
  • Perform reconciliation of cash, settlement accounts and general ledger account.
  • Lead/ Participate in projects and/or process improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse large datasets to derive actionable plans to improve processes and reduce cost.
  • Document and review process to ensure compliance with the risk framework of UOB.
Job Requirements
  • A university degree holder in any discipline
  • Knowledge on operations and banking background ideally
  • Excellent communication skills (both spoken and written) in English
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and display resourcefulness to resolve problems
  • Able to contribute independently and be an excellent team player
  • High level of accuracy and attention to details
  • Highly motivated self-starter with personal resilience to perform effectively
