Roles & Responsibilities Our client is a manufacturer of subsea, surface and offshore rig equipment for use by Oil and Gas industry. About the role: Senior Operational Technology Engineer is responsible for the support and implementation of existing and new manufacturing technology solutions supporting the companies journey towards industry 4.0. The role will support the technology selection process within the Operational Technology function, Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) technology stack, digital architecture and supporting processes.

• Function as technical subject matter expert, contribute to development of local digital roadmap to leverage ERP [SAP and/or other] HCM, MM, PP, QM modules (e.g., Classifications, Warehouse Management, Resource Hierarchies, Production Equipment Management), MES systems, APS systems, IIoT and Connectivity platforms, SCADA and PLC/sensor technologies.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and IT teams to execute global enterprise and/or local site’s Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) program implementation, evaluate business requirements and recommend system design and configurations to maximize functionality of various systems to achieve operational excellence.
• Apply SAP knowledge, translate ‘Digital Factory’ industry standards (ISA95/88)/best practices, to deliver manufacturing systems configuration changes and/or develop software solutions ensuring system security.
• Support operational excellence improvement initiatives, reducing waste to support site Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost metrics, engage and collaborate with manufacturing functions of Production, Product and Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Quality & Warehouse to proactively understand Operations’ challenges and opportunities
• Support business in capacity of MOM superuser. Support system testing, implementation, and troubleshooting.

About you:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing/Production Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experienced in successfully deploying technical software system solutions in manufacturing environments.
• Advanced knowledge in Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), SAP [or, other ERP system], MES systems desired, possess learning agility for such systems
• Experienced in working with IIoT platforms, script/programming languages, possess learning agility for application onto further automation use cases.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant visualization/analytics/ statistical tools.

Desired experiences:

• Experienced in manufacturing & continuous improvement principles, e.g., LEAN, Kaizen, 6sigma desirable.
• Knowledgeable in advanced data analytics, manufacturing automation, advanced manufacturing methods.
• Experienced in Cybersecurity principles, firewall and router configuration.
• Experienced in utilizing Industrial IT systems, protocols and industrial networking.
• Experienced in industrial automation and manufacturing processes (machining, welding, assembly, test, etc.)
• Advanced knowledge in relevant industry standards for Industry 4.0, Digital Factories, MOM
• Experienced in industrial robotic, plc, or other automation will be a plus
• Experienced in driving organizational change and system/process adoption.
• Experienced in implementing tools, systems and processes at multiple sites. Implementation experience at multiple global sites is preferred.
