Job Description

Principal Responsibilities - o Lead to work with Project Execution team in overall system mechanical walkdown, development and execution of the overall commissioning plan o Expert knowledge in Air separation plant operations for Onsite Electronics customers primary on plant process design, commissioning, and plant operations. o Ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations of the Small Onsite plants at electronics customer sites. o Transfer the Electronics onsite plant knowhow [operations, quality control] to the operations system. o Develop and train with robust training & qualification program. Implement cross training to ensure staff are trained and qualified to perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner for small onsite plants and Bulk Gas Delivery o Develop procedures, training plan and develop competency of the technician team o Deliver against critical KPIs of reliability, efficiency, productivity, product availability in support of sales and drive for profitable improvements o Lead in driving operational transformation, focussing on operational efficiency improvement utilizing operation excellence tools (e.g. 6 sigma and Lean Manufacturing). o Well versed in product quality requirements for Electronics customers. Implement statistical Process Control (SPC) in driving process/operations improvement. o Ensure resources are fully optimised at the site. Develop and execute key action plans to improve overall operations efficiency. o Work closely with Regional Operational team to implement best practices; coordinate technical operations support during plant outages and Turnaround.

Key Interfaces - o Internal

• Cluster Senior Management , for alignment on investment business cases or proposals and/or customer issues resolution and engagement plans, ensure operation best practices from APAC electronics for implementation

• Electronics BD Team in Country & Cluster to support all otential electronics growth opportunities by providing operations related inputs in new plant investment or capacity from existing site.

• Regional Supply Team for supports in area related to technical, key productivity improvement initiatives, operations audits.

• Country Leadership Team for inputs on prioritisation of key initiatives to ensure effective execution.

o External

• Customers and Prospects in electronics industries, in support of sales on contract negotiations, relationship building (future business), issues resolution etc.

• Leaders in key Regulatory Bodies including Economic Development Board, Jurong Town Corporation for investment matters in Jurong Island and with National Environment Agencies and Singapore Civil Defence Force etc on licences guidelines and regulations for sales, transport & storage of flammable and hazardous materials in Singapore.
  

Required Key Skills (Functional/Technical) - o Demonstrated success in leading & managing diverse operation/ technical organisation in electronics industry o Knowledge of electronics materials – bulk gases, ESG used by electronics customers and experience in completing risk assessments and working with customer to develop delivery plan for new products o Proven performance leadership including goal setting, skill gap assessment, development & coaching. o Excellent leadership capabilities with strong communication, analytical and conceptualisation skills. o Strong people and team management with ability to lead and motivate a team as well as ability to work with existing country leadership and global and regional teams. o Excellent influencing and facilitation skills, experience in managing cross functional groups and developing strategic relationships and networks (both internal and external) o Good commercial skills & experience with long term gas supply contracts negotiation relating to electronics operations & thorough knowledge of drivers of profit and loss

Required Qualifications/Experience Requirements: o Qualified Engineering degree preferably in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering o Related experience in Industrial Gas plant operations especially in Air Separation Unit (ASU), Electronics Materials production, storage and handling o Minimum of 15 years’ experience in integrated gas/chemical/electronics plant operations of which minimum of 10 years in a relevant management position o Experience in the management of multi-disciplines team o Demonstrate key leadership attributes e.g. Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills, Pro-active, Motivator, change management. o Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities with tight timeline. o Good understanding project management and experience in leading change successfully. o Strong experience with customer relationships development.
