The Opportunity:

• Permanent role
• Work Location: West (Company shuttle bus provide, easy access by public transport)
• Work Hour: 8:30am - 5:30pm

Adecco is partnering with a reputable European MNC which provide industrial sensors and control technology for robotics, automotive, mobile equipment and other industrial/ commercial applications. The hiring team is looking for a right talent to join their business as a Senior Optical Design Engineer. This position will be involved in design and development of photoelectric sensors and gain the exposure of cross function collaboration with the local and global team.

The Job:

• Design and development of photoelectric sensors
• Using optical design software to design optical systems that include lens, aperture, filter with defined light source meeting sensor specification considering the mechanical and electrical tolerance
• Create detail optical test plan and perform verification and implement countermeasures
• Collaborate with Electronic Engineer to define the light source and Mechanical Engineer on the mechanical parts design
• Collaborate with cross functional teams on new and custom products development, and sustain product lifecycle including customer complaints, components obsolescence, failure analysis, etc.
• Liaising with Headquarter for technical support and technology transfer

The Talent:

• Master / Bachelor Degree in Electronic / Optoelectronic Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in optical design and development
• Experience on optical system design in optical design software; i.e. ZEMAX / Optical studio
• Good knowledge in photonic design for optical sensor is an advantage
