About the Role
We are seeking
Physiotherapists (Paediatric)
to join our allied health team. You will be supporting adults with physical, functional, and mobility needs in
THK's disability homes, day activity centres, day rehabilitation centres, and home-based therapy services
, among other community-based initiatives.
Therapists may be deployed across various adult-focused programmes depending on service requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical
Conduct physical, psycho-social, discipline specific and impairment-based assessments to determine required therapeutic interventions for routine and complex cases for paediatric and/or adult clients
Formulate client-centred and SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Timely) goals in collaboration with clients and relevant stakeholders
Select appropriate and specific outcome measures to enable evaluation of therapy progress and outcomes
Provide therapy recommendations based on evaluation of clients' needs
Evaluate therapy progress and outcomes using appropriate therapy outcome measures at regular intervals
Modify therapy plans based on client performance and motivation as well as therapy outcome measures collected
Document assessment, intervention plan, progress and caregiver education provided accurately and in a timely manner
Provide consultation to peers and junior therapists.
Seek additional supervision for complex cases as appropriate
Provide clinical education for students and Physiotherapist (E3, E2) in accordance with school requirements, AHPC guideline and Division's Competency & Development Frameworks
Participate in research-related activities
Management
Assist in outreach to MSF/NCSS/MOH-funded programmes and other community partners
Assist in manage individual staff and/or team performance
Assist in managing feedback, sensitive and/or contentious issues
Develop and maintain working relationships with other professionals at the divisional and/or organisational level
Administrative
Lead quality improvement projects or other relevant initiatives aimed at improving therapy services at departmental or divisional level
Promote clinical services available to the public and external agencies
Assist in providing public education on speech language therapy related topics to improve community awareness
Assist in revising work processes and documents for the Physiotherapy department and/or organisation
Discharge any other duties as assigned by the Senior Physiotherapist/Reporting Officer and/or Divisional Director
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) Practising Certificate
Full Registration / Restricted Registration
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
