The Mechanical Engineer\xe2\x80\x99s primary role is to assist the Plant Manager in the operation of the Plant & Workshop Department in the leasing, servicing and maintenance of heavy machineries in compliance with policies and procedures
Description A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:
Plan and supervise team of mechanics/electricians in carrying out scheduled maintenance for equipment both in workshop and on sites.
Track, monitor, and evaluate equipment breakdowns and provide resolutions.
Liaise with subcontractors for the execution of site works.
Site testing and commissioning of new equipment.
Develop CAD drawings for lifting plans.
Compare and analyze technical specifications of equipment for recommendation to purchase.
Manage safety matters, e.g., liaison with PEs for inspection for issuance of Lifting Machines/Lifting Gears and Lifting Personnel certificates, review Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures and vehicle safety devices.
Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree from a recognized university
Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience
Demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships and work effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Independent and detailed oriented

Robust understanding of construction machineries
