What the role is:
The Product Management Practice Lead acts as a champion for product management within the organization, ensuring that it is a strategic and effective function that delivers value to both the home teams and HTX product managers.
What you will be working on:
The principal accountabilities of the jobholder include (but not limited to): o Develop and execute the product management strategy, aligning it with the organization's overall goals and objectives o Influence strategies and work plans across all HTX co-development workgroups in different functions and Home Team Departments, providing product leadership in domain areas o Define and implement consistent product management practices, frameworks, and methodologies across teams o Mentor and coach product managers and teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development o Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement within the product management function o Encourage and support innovation within the product management function, exploring new approaches and technologies o Conduct briefings/workshops to impart product management knowledge and experience at HTX-level and/or Ministry-level platforms o Nurture product management talent within the organization, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement o Be the mastery of product management combining deep knowledge of theory and organisational practice. Seen as subject matter expert and thought leader in specific discipline.
What we are looking for:

• Postgraduate / Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field o Extensive experience in product management, with a proven track record of success o Deep understanding of product management methodologies and best practices o Strategic thinking and business acumen o Experience with Agile development methodologies o Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
