We are looking for a principal investigator with a strong international reputation, a track record of scientific leadership, and demonstrated success in securing competitive funding. The successful candidate will lead a high-impact research programme and contribute to IMCB?s strategic priorities in advancing human model systems and translational biology.
Key Responsibilities
Lead an independent research programme in iPSC-based modeling of kidney biology
Develop novel stem cell-derived platforms for studying human renal system and their interactions with other cell types or organs (e.g. brain, liver, tumor microenvironment)
Translate disease models into platforms for target discovery, therapeutic screening, or biomarker identification
Secure external research funding from national and international sources
Supervise and mentor a research team, including students and postdoctoral fellows
Build collaborative links with partners across A*STAR, academia, hospitals, and industry
Qualifications and Requirements
PhD or MD/PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, or a related field
At least 8?10 years of postdoctoral and/or independent PI experience in stem cell biology, kidney biology, or regenerative medicine
Internationally recognised track record of high-impact publications and scientific leadership
Proven success in securing competitive research funding and building productive research teams
Strong commitment to collaborative, interdisciplinary research and mentoring
