At IPS, you will apply your knowledge, skills, and passion to make a difference in the lives of people, solving complex challenges related to pharmaceutical, biotech, and animal health research and manufacturing facilities. We are looking for a talented Senior Process Architect to join our team at our office located in Singapore.

In this role, you will conceptualize and lead the facility design services that support manufacturing and operational processes for numerous cutting-edge pharmaceutical facilities. You will also work independently on various projects as assigned and will oversee the assigned day-to-day operational activities of the discipline. Additionally, you will oversee the entire design process or assist as a technical expert on specialized design projects and may work on several concurrent projects.

What You\'ll Do

• Assess the requirements of a project, break projects into tasks, and work with Project Managers to determine the scope of work, budget, and staffing.
• Writes scope of work for architectural design based on preliminary review and meetings with the client.
• Participate in proposal presentations.
• Works with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to building codes is required.
• Assigns and reviews work of the project design team.
• Checks progress of work and alerts Project Manager about scope changes or requests for additional services.
• Review contractor applications for payments and have a thorough understanding of the construction process.
• Coordinate all aspects of project document completion within the company and externally with clients and other design professionals.
• Prepare or review construction budgets based on experience and scope of the project.
• Promotes the use of and participates in the development of IPS design and production standards.
• Assist in the education and development of design staff and act as a resource for design questions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 10+ years previous architectural design experience with equivalent experience in the Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and/or laboratory) industries for domestic and/or international project types.
• Bachelor of Architecture Degree from an accredited university.
• Have experience in facility Master Planning.
• Ability to interpret a building program and generate varied design concepts.
• Proven experience interacting and communicating directly with clients.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills. Chinese communication skills would be an asset.
• Has experience with project scope development, programming, conceptual design, pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, material and personnel flow development, material and system evaluation, detail design and construction administration.
• 4+ years of Autodesk Revit drawing experience is preferred, on occasion, the Senior Process Architect will be expected to utilize Autodesk Revit to perform project design documentation independently to meet both budget and schedule objectives.
• 5+ years of experience and proven success as a Process Architect (a Process Architect is defined as an individual who has maintained accountability and responsibility for independent and/or team-based projects).
• Proven time management skills and the ability to work on more than one project at a time.
