Title: Senior Process Safety EngineerJob Responsibilities
Independently or with minimum supervision to carry out Design Safety Philosophies, Specifications for fire protection systems (active & passive), data sheet for firefighting systems
Develop UFDs, PIDS for the fire protection systems and carry out Fire water/foam demand calculations (incl. Gas suppression system), and Firewater system Hydraulic check analysis
Prepare Hazardous Area Classification Source release schedule and Drawings, Fire Zone drawings, Safety & Fire Fighting equipment layouts, Escape route drawings, Safey Signs Drawings, Firefighting Nozzle coverage shadow drawings.etc
Participate in Process Hazard reviews and analysis including HAZOP/HAZID/SIL studies(when needed) and support in Actions close-out
Under minimum supervision or independently carry out design of Active and Passive Fire Protection packages (incl. prepare requisition, datasheets, TBE.etc) and PFP schedule document
Support in review/ consolidate comments and co-ordination in Third Party Studies including FERA, Dispersion analysis, EERA, ESSA, Dropped objects study,TRIA, Ship collision study, QRA studies. etc. (not limited too)
Support in TBE, vendor Docs. review in mechanical/ electrical/ Instrument Package on Safety (incl. HFE) aspects
Provide inputs include Human factors engineering for projects, as required
Interface/ co-ordinate with other engineering disciplines for resolving technical matters related to safety aspects
Interact/co-ordinate with designers & provide inputs for safety layout preparations for projects, as required
Job Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university and shall have 8 to 15 years HSE Engineering experience (Process safety/ Risk Analysis/ Loss preventional engineering) in the Oil & Gas industry
Experience in design projects for Offshore (FPSO/Platforms) and Onshore (Refineries, LNG facilities, Storage terminal etc) is required
Possess good knowledge in International Codes & Standards, Regulatory codes & standards (DNV/ ABS) and the ability to influence designs to achieve optimal HSE outcomes
Familiar with plot plan reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL classification/ verification and other safety reviews (e.g.SIMOPS, ALARP) is preferred
Good working knowledge in PIPENET, Flaresim and other consequence modelling software such as DNV PHAST etc required
Candidate shall be good team engineer and have pro-active inter-discipline communication
