For Procurement, Telenor has the ambition to develop Telenor Procurement Company (TPC) as a professional Procurement as a Service (PaaS) provider to customers within and outside Telenor organizations. You will be expected to drive strategic procurement initiatives, facilitate demand management, build sourcing strategy, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders of TPC PaaS customers.For more information, please visit our website:Main tasksAs the Senior Negotiator, you are primarily responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan that brings collaboration and discipline into the contracting and negotiating process. You will have a pivotal role in managing and implementing sourcing strategy and contracting for high value categories as well as execution of processes in large and complex projects in line with Telenor Procurement Process and Telenor Procurement policy. Furthermore, the role is expected to have strong stakeholder management (including C-Suite executives) both internally and towards the negotiating party.Scope:

  • Lead complex negotiation process with suppliers (mainly Telecom) and successfully close negotiation by meeting the target and timeline. Collaborate timeline in other vendor negotiations to execute planned activities.
  • Build/support to build negotiation mandate, strategy and negotiation target for designated negotiation process.
  • Work closely with our different Category Management teams to advise, strategize on sourcing processes and opportunities within the categories.
  • Assess vendor relationships, contractual terms, pricing and scope issues to maintain competitiveness and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) efficiency during the bidding process.
  • Effectively interact with project/negotiation teams to advise, prepare and lead them for vendor interactions and negotiations.
  • Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to enable successful activation and implementation of negotiations strategy and plans. Ensure all negotiation initiative is adherence to Telenor procurement process/policy and governance defined.
  • Develop creative solutions and persuasive arguments to help overcome barriers/ obstacles and ensure internal alignments (i.e., differences of opinions on the best strategy to deploy) with minimal supervision.
  • Cascade best practice, process consistency and synergies for negotiations aligned with the OpCo\xe2\x80\x99s business strategy.
  • Activation and implementation of global negotiations strategy in the OpCos and orchestrate and coordinate engagement with key global vendors.
  • Exercise considerable independent judgment when analyzing information and evaluating results to recommend the best strategy and solution to defined governance committees.

  • In-depth legal or negotiations background as well as direct, hands-on experience to lead negation of complex high value projects.
  • Knowledge of impacting laws, legal codes, precedents, government regulations that could impact business decisions and contract terms and conditions.
  • Strong team player and ability to excel in a collaborative multi-cultural working environment.
  • In-depth experience and understanding of the marketplace and trends within the industry (e.g., cost drivers, levers, competitive situations).
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills and understanding of leading negotiations practices with proven experience.

Organization and Reporting lineVP \xe2\x80\x93 NetworksEducational & Competence Requirements
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with relevant business discipline in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Analytics etc. MBA will be preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of negotiation experience for high value (+100 million USD) complex projects; in addition to at least 10 years in a senior procurement / contract management / strategic procurement / supply chain management role or as functional expert in high spend category (e.g. Radio Access Network, Core Network etc.).
  • Broad understanding of the telecom industry in general and deep understanding of strategic sourcing specifically within the technology domain (ISIT and Networks).
  • Experience in managing high performing teams and complex strategic procurement processes in wider scale communities.
  • Experience of working in a large complex global organization.
  • Broad experience with common data processing tools, e.g. Excel or Tableau.
  • Strong communication skill in English (written and oral) and excellent presentation skill.
