Job Description

• Position : Senior Product Engineer (Film Deposition Materials/ Materials science and chemistry)
• Location : Tuas (Transport pick up at designated pick up point : Khatib / Jurong East / Lakeside)
• Working hours : 5 days / Mon - Fri 7:35am - 4:35pm
• Salary (Commensurate with experience): Up to $7000 Basic + AWS + 14 Days Annual Leave
• Duration : Perm
• Industry : Manufacturer of thin film materials

Main Responsibilities:

• Development of new products, process control, pricing policies and process improvement which includes development of new initiatives to sustain market competitiveness for both acquisition and retention of existing clients/New clients.
• Responsible for managing and implementing product marketing activities through research, strategic planning, and implementation.
• Supports Sales in specifications and applications review, business development, costing and evaluation of new product requirements.
• Manage from concept to design, sample production, testing, forecast, cost, mass production, promotion, support, and finally, product end of life.
• Delivers the operating plan: the achievement of growth objectives, including market share, revenue, profit, and return on investment for all the of business and key customers.
• Liaise with China plants and lead collaborative projects.
• Develop strategic collaborations with customers that align with goals for product categories and provide insight into customer needs
• Constant engagement with customers including customer feedback, requirements, and issues and understand their explicit and implicit needs.
• Partnership with other department for Company budget/Mission, costing; materials management; Research & Development projects and leadership to build and bring products to market.
• Assume any other suitable duties as and when assigned by the Company.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Professional Degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science or equivalent
• At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
• Experience in SAP/ ERP
• Good knowledge of Sputtering Process a plus;
• Knowledge of Thin Film Deposition Materials in Semiconductor & Magnetic Data Storage an advantage;
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese clients who can converse in Mandarin only
