Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic, organized and self-starter professional to join our team as our Sr. Program Manager for strategic initiatives as part of the APJ (APAC, Japan) Professional Services (ProServe) team.

The Strategic Initiatives Program Manager will define APJ ProServe's business strategy and drive action to execute against it. This includes the development of annual operational planning and multi-year strategic plans, along with the execution of associated strategic initiatives. In this role, you will report to the Director of APJ ProServe Practice Development and Business Operations, and partner closely with our Senior leaders, working across AWS team locally and globally.

We are looking for a seasoned Business Strategy Programs Manager with extensive knowledge of IT Professional Services. You should be a strategic thinker and operationally savvy, with a passion for driving growth and strategic action in the field. You must have an entrepreneurial spark and be highly self-sufficient. You must be able to innovate new ways of working, as well as, possess exceptional ability to drive structured change - at scale, at high speed, in a highly matrixed environment. You should also be comfortable in analyzing data sets, and correlating multiple data points to gather insights.

Key job responsibilities

  • Strategy Program Management. Lead the development, articulation, and execution of a multi-year practice development strategy working back from leadership defined business outcomes.
  • Annual Planning. Build and execute annual operational plans in partnership with local and global ProServe teams, and supporting business functions like Operations, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Sales, and Tech.
  • Strategic Initiatives. Identify, define, and drive regional strategic practice development initiatives aligned to strategic growth plans, annual plans, and emerging business priorities.
  • Communication: Through self and through others, lead action to create and publish key state-of-the-business artifacts including (1) Monthly Business Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Annual Plans.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven track record in Business Strategy and/or Operations roles in the IT space.
  • Proven track record in building and driving strategic change programs.
  • Hands-on experience with professional services businesses working across APJ.
  • Able to Influence and partner with different levels and functions of the organization to achieve results.
  • Able to Juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while delivering on commitments.
  • Able to roll up your sleeves and Just Do It.
  • Have high-quality written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in Professional Services Businesses in IT space.
  • Prior experience in leadership roles either as a manager or functional leader.
  • Solid understanding of business financial management (e.g., previously designed or managed a P&L).
  • Solid sense of ownership, accountability, high-quality judgment and sound decision-making.
  • Possesses a mix of intellectual curiosity, creative thinking and pragmatism.
  • Ability to identify issues and root cause; willingness to dive deep into details.
  • Ability to achieve results and earn the trust of business leaders in a high-speed matrix environment
